Raymarine radar not spinning12/5/2023 Start removing of earth strap from cable shield to dismantle the raydome and the scanner starts and display shows a radar scan. Measured 12.4 volts (shore power connected through charger)ĭiscussions with Greenham Regis suggested we remove all equipment and send for testing. Check requirements from answer are:ġ) Resistance in data I/O cables Display end to Raydome (cable connected at Raydome) 160 ohms (+/- 5 ohms) Measured 169.9 ohms.Ģ) Resistance in data I/O cables Raydome end to Display (Power off but interunit cable connected to display) 160 ohms (+/- 5 ohms) measured 165.4 ohms.ģ) Minimum required voltage at Raydome with radar in standby 10.7 volts. No sign of physical damage but could this have damaged the cable screen? Below are the results of investigations carried out so far.ĭownloaded Answer to SNR from Raymarine site. ![]() Between the time it was working and now I have been replacing the deck in the area of the cable and did slide (force) the gland along the cable. ![]() Working until recently now “Scanner not Responding”. Raymarine RL70CRC plus Display directly connected to 2KW Raydome on Mizzen mast, no intermediate cable joints.
